As of April 1, 2017, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 10.33 mln tonnes, reported the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 14. In particular, peasant and farming households stored 2.058 mln tonnes of grains.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 9.648 mln tonnes, including 6.748 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 473.58 thsd tonnes of feed wheat, and 1.425 mln tonnes of wheat for seeds.
Also, corn stocks totaled 82.73 thsd tonnes, rice – 174.61 thsd tonnes, barley – 982.2 thsd tonnes, rye – 23.4 thsd tonnes, oats – 151.27 thsd tonnes, buckwheat – 41.46 thsd tonnes, millet – 26.93 thsd tonnes, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 82.51 thsd tonnes.
