According to forecasts of the US Department of Agriculture, in the new season the harvest volumes of wheat in Kazakhstan will decrease by 13% compared with the current season, to 13 mln tonnes.

It is noted that the domestic consumption of wheat will keep at the current season level - 6.9 mln tonnes. A decline in wheat usage for seeds will compensate growing rates in food consumption.

As a reminder, the USDA estimated the exports of Kazakh wheat at 7 mln tonnes. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China and Iran are the largest countries-importers of Kazakh wheat.
