In the period of January-May of 2017, Ukrainian exported 11.86 mln tonnes of corn (1.85 bln USD), declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on June 9, with reference to the State Fiscal Service.
In particular, in May 2017 Ukraine exported 2.66 mln tonnes of corn, an increase of 36.15% compared with April 2017.
During five months of 2017, Egypt became the largest country-importer of Ukrainian corn, and purchased 2.14 mln tonnes of the grain (333.23 mln USD), followed by the Netherlands - 1.48 mln tonnes (230.54 mln USD), and Spain - 1.34 mln tonnes (208.81 mln USD).
As a reminder, in 2016 Ukraine exported corn at the sum of 2.65 bln USD.
