Ukraine already exceeded the maximum export volumes of wheat in current MY, specified by the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and grain exporters dd. July 12, 2016, by 4.1% or 671 thsd tonnes. Such figures can result in the deficit of milling wheat for domestic consumption, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on June 9.
Taking into account that only one month remained until the end of the marketing year, there is a threat of overtime exports of milling wheat, informed the officials. They appealed to the companies-exporters concerning the accurate volumes of grains for foreign supplies in 2016/17 MY.
In addition, as of the reporting date Ukraine exported 94% of the coordinated volumes of barley, specified in the Memorandum, which allows supplying 337 thsd tonnes of the grain on foreign markets in the current MY.
