In January-March of 2017, Ukraine increased the supply of agricultural products on the Hungarian market by 88% compared with the same period last year, to 15 mln USD, declared the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration, Olga Trofimtseva on June 19.

Also, in the reporting period the trade turnover of agricultural products increased to 49.2 mln USD. The Hungarian consumers were mainly interested in such Ukrainian products like oilseed cakes, soybeans, seeds and fruits for planting, honey, sunflower oil, nuts, chocolate, etc., O.Trofimtseva explained.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Hungarian market is extremely perspective for Ukrainian agrarians due to the geographical neighborhood and great interest of the local consumers in Ukrainian products.

Since the end of 2016, government representatives of both countries activated their dialogue on the general development of the industry. The parties specified the main directions for the further bilateral cooperation between the countries, namely: animal health, phyto-sanitary control, seed selection and production.
