The European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA) supported the provision of further trade preferences to Ukraine with a large number of votes. 29 INTA members voted for the decision, 8 - against, and 1 – abstained, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on June 20, with reference to the European Parliament's figures.

The INTA Committee supported the provision of trade preferences for the imports of Ukrainian agricultural and food products. It is the intermediate trade victory, and the result of hard diplomatic work of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with representatives of the European authorities, said the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration, Olga Trofimtseva.

Thus, the INTA Committee voted for increasing of the autonomous trade preferences for Ukraine, including wheat - up 65 thsd tonnes per year, corn - up 625 thsd tonnes, barley - up 325 thsd tonnes, oats - up 4 thsd tonnes, groats and processed grain - 7.8 thsd tonnes. Such extension of the autonomous trade preferences will act for 36 months from the approval date.
