In 2016/17 MY, Russia began exporting grains to several non-traditional markets like Algeria and Morocco, but in the current season Russia will possibly stop supplying to the reporting countries, declared the President at the Russian Grain Union (RGU), Arkadiy Zlochevskiy on July 18.

According to him, last season the global market situation slightly changed, but it was mainly caused by a crop failure in France. But there is a risk that Russia will not keep the new markets in the current season.

As a reminder, Egypt and Turkey are the main countries-importers of Russian wheat, as well as Bangladesh unexpectedly joined the list of major buyers.

Also, the head of RGU noted that to date, there were no problems in the supply of grains to Turkey.
