In January-June of 2017, Russia increased cereal crops export volumes by 14.9% compared with the figures in the same period of 2016 - to 15.495 mln tonnes, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

According to the announcement, in the reporting period wheat and meslin traditionally formed the basis of grain export supplies – 11.386 mln tonnes, up 22.4% compared with January-June of 2016. Also, barley shipments increased by 8.4%, to 1.11 mln tonnes.

But the exports of Russian corn reduced by 4.6%, to 2.814 mln tonnes, rice - down 11.8%, to 96.2 thsd tonnes, wheat flour and wheat-rye flour – down 42.9%, to 72.8 thsd tonnes.

At the same time, Russia somewhat increased sunflower seed foreign shipments in 3.1 times - to 256 thsd tonnes.

During the first six months of 2017, Russia lowered the import volumes of palm oil and its fractions by 7% compared with the same period in 2016 - to 381 thsd tonnes.
