In case of Turkey's refusal to purchase Russian grains, the reporting products will be reoriented to the African and Middle East markets, declared the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev on November 26.

Since beginning of 2015, Russia already exported 3.5 mln tonnes of grains to Turkey, or nearly 12% of the general export volumes of grains, said the head of the Ministry. In 2014, the following agricultural commodities became the major export items in monetary terms from Russia to Turkey: grains (56.1%, including wheat and meslin - 44.2%), sunflower oil (21.1%), vegetables, legumes (4.9%), oilseeds (4.3%).

Generally, in 2014 Russia increased the exports of agricultural commodities to Turkey by one third compared with the previous year (to 2.37 bln USD), while its share in the general Russian exports of food reached 12.4%. During 10 months of 2015, Russia exported foodstuffs to Turkey at 1.313 bln USD, said the Minister.
