To date, Russia still did not receive any signals from Turkey on its plans to deny from the imports of Russian grains, declared the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Alexander Tkachev on November 26.

He expects that in the future, there will not be such failures on the part of Turkey, because the Turkish consumers have already “tasted" Russian grains benefits.

To date, Turkey purchases nearly 5 mln tonnes of Russian grains from its annual export volumes of 30 mln tonnes. At the same time, A.Tkachev said that in case of establishment of any prohibitive measures from the Turkish party, Russia will be able to redirect its grain export lines to other markets, in particular - China and Arab countries. He believes that it will be economically unsound for Turkey to refocus its import activities to other markets.
