In terms of timely completion of all required documents for renewal of duty-free supplying of Russian wheat to Turkey, until the end of 2016/17 MY Russia will be able to export nearly 300 thsd tonnes of wheat to the country, declared the President at the Russian Grain Union (RGU), Arkadiy Zlochevskiy on May 4.

By the time of imposition of the reporting Turkish limitations on agricultural crops delivery (March 15), Russia planned to supply 600 thsd tonnes of wheat until the end of the season. In terms of completion of all documents in several days, Russia will manage to supply a half of the volumes, the expert said.

Also, A.Zlochevskiy considered that the Turkish limitations will not affect the general exports of Russian wheat to the country or on the global market.

Russia demonstrated small supplies towards all countries, due to domestic affairs, including strengthening of RUR/USD exchange rates, said the President of RGU.

In addition, he informed that the reporting limitations imposed by Turkey did not concern Russian companies-suppliers, the Turkish authorities imposed the limitations for their own Turkish companies, which continued purchasing Russian wheat in any case, changing the documents, and finding various other backdoors to settle the situation.
