Russia may found a special economic zone in the Crimea
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation proposed to establish the regime of special economic zone in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, in a similar vein to the zone in Kaliningrad oblast.
In particular, the special economic zone will set zero rates for insurance premium payments, taxes on income, property, land and transport, which may operate for 49 years.
It also considered that the WTO countries-members will be able to lay commercial claims to the Crimea, but only in return for its recognition as the Russian territory.
