Russia may deny constructing the port Taman
The Government of Russia is considering redirecting more than 100 bln RUR of budget funds for construction of infrastructural projects to development of the Crimea region, according to the letter sent to the Government signed by Andrei Belousov, Presidential Adviser on economic affairs of the Russian Federation.
In particular, there is observed the possibility of failure of the planned construction of the large-scale dry bulk cargo port Taman in Krasnodar Krai with the design capacity of 66 mln tonnes. It is also possible to delay construction of the bridge across the river Lena in Yakutsk. The Government planned to issue nearly 112 bln RUR for construction of the port and the bridge across the Lena until 2020.
According to the letter, development of the Crimea for 2014-2017 period may require nearly 526 bln RUR, excluding the costs for construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait and modernization of the infrastructure.
