In 2015 nearly 45% of Ukrainian agrarians will be forced to save their resources during the spring field works in the current year. In particular, 26% of the respondents plan to reduce the applied volumes of fertilizers, 58% of them will reduce the applied volumes by 10-20%, 31% - down 21-35%, and 10% - down over 35%, informed APK-Inform analysts, referring to the sample polling of agricultural producers of Ukraine on the basis of the representative sample realized by APK-Inform specialists.
It should be noted that during six recent months, the price of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine increased by 35-100%. In addition, to date the domestic market faces some deficit of ammonium nitrate and fertilizers of phosphoric group.
Taking into account the continuing UAH devaluation and the decline of world prices for a number of agricultural crops, APK-Inform analysts expect for the further rise of prices for mineral fertilizers and reduction of its application volumes. Thus, in 2015 the general consumption of fertilizers in Ukraine will not exceed 1.34 mln tonnes of nutritive efficiency. At the same time, there is expected to increase consumption of carbamide, reduction of nitrogen fertilizers consumption, and a significant reduction of phosphate fertilizers consumption.
