As of September 13, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 40.4 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.3 mln ha, or 67% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 3.94 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, the production of early grain crops and pulses in the country totaled 39.2 mln tonnes, and the areas — 9.96 mln ha (99.9% of the plan), the harvest of corn totaled 921 thsd tonnes, while the areas — 154 thsd ha (3%). At the same time, agrarians harvested 31 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 67 thsd ha (45%), and 123 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 64 thsd ha (72%).
Also, agrarians harvested 4.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 2.1 mln ha (36%), with the yield of 2.13 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 823 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.17 t/ha, and the areas of 379 thsd ha (24%).
In addition, as of the reporting date Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 575 thsd ha, or 8% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 528 thsd ha (8% of the forecast), winter rye — 28 thsd ha (23%), and winter barley — 19 thsd ha (2%).
Also, the planted areas under winter rapeseed reached 909 thsd ha, or 85% of the forecast.
