According to APK-Inform analysts, in 2019/20 MY the production volumes of wheat flour in Kazakhstan will reach some kind of anti-record for 13 recent seasons — 3.1 mln tonnes, a decrease of 3% compared with 2018/19 MY.

In the beginning of 2019/20 MY, the production rates of flour continued its downward dynamics, which started last season. In July-August of 2019, the production of flour milling products totaled 423 thsd tonnes, down 18% compared with the figures in the same period last season, APK-Inform analysts explained.

In addition, in the beginning of the season Kazakh wheat demonstrated much lower export rates compared with last season. Thus, in July-August period the shipment volumes totaled 621 thsd tonnes, down one third compared with the same period in 2018/19 MY. The trend developed, due to the insufficient supply of raw materials on the market in terms of the prolonged harvesting campaign, which had its impact on formation of the export batches of wheat.

In September 2019, the grain supplies totaled nearly 300 thsd tonnes, down 25% compared with the same month in 2018, added the analysts.
