In September-January of 2019/20 MY, Kazakhstan imported almost 19 thsd tonnes of soybeans, up 9 times compared with the last season figures, declared the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazStat).

The imports increased, even despite the growth of the harvest of soybeans in Kazakhstan in 2019. The situation developed, in terms of the growing interest in the oilseed from both processors and export-oriented companies.

Russia supplied almost 100% of the import volumes of soybeans to the country.
