Ukrainian seaports decreased export of oilseeds and by-products by 12% in July - APK-Inform




According to the monitoring of APK-Inform, in the period of July 1-30, 2020, the export volumes of oilseeds and by-products from the Ukrainian sea ports reached 774 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 12% compared with the previous month volumes (882 thsd tonnes, taking into account the updated figures).

The shipment volumes of sunflower seed and by-products formed the major share in the structure of supplies, and totaled 576 thsd tonnes, including 368 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil (-30%) and 206 thsd tonens of sunflower meal (-38.7%). The export of sunflower seed totaled 2 thsd tonnes.

Export of soybean and by-products reached 16 thsd tonnes, including 1 thsd tonnes of soybean and 15 thsd tonnes of soybean meal.

Rapeseed export increased to 182 thsd tonnes (up 60 times compared to June).

India (133.7 thsd tonnes), Germany (116.9 thsd tonnes) and the Netherlands (58 thsd tonnes) were the main destination for Ukrainian oilseeds and by-products.

In 2019/20 MY, the Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port (5.66 mln tonnes) still remained the leader in the exports of major grain crops. The Chornomorsk Commercial Sea Port (2.32 mln tonnes) and Sea Commercial Port of Pivdennyj (2.10 mln tonnes) took the second and third positions, respectively.
