Uzbek margarine producer Milk Euro Food faced a deficit of high-quality sunflower oil on the domestic market, informed the owner and general director of the company Andrey Dankov within the online forum Ukraine-Uzbekistan: fat&oil industry development hold by APK-Inform on September 17.
“Our company is among TOP-3 largest producers of margarine and consumers of sunflower oil in Uzbekistan. We have problems with supply of high-quality sunflower oil as we failed to find producers who can offer the oil of the quality required”, - he told.
Generally, 82% of the Uzbek market of sunflower oil is covered by imported oil, while the share of domestically produced oil is 17.7% (and many enterprises just packed finished product but do not produce it).
“We used 1.5 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil last year. We are going to processed 2.5 thsd tonens this year. There are 7 plants like our in Uzbekistan. It means there is a high demand for sunflower oil in the country”, - A.Dankov summarized.
