Ukraine to harvest up to 52 mln tonnes of grain this season – Vysotsky

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine forecasts grain production at 52 mln tonnes in 2022/23 MY, oilseeds – 13-15 mln tonnes, Taras Vysotsky, the first deputy minister of Agrarian Policy said on July 19.

He noted that the figure for grain was not final, as it was impossible to predict currently the exact volume of corn crop this year.

T. Vysotsky also added that Ukraine would get special equipment for temporary grain storing soon.

“We have received confirmation from our international partners about the additional supply of large sacks designed to hold 200 tonnes each, as well as loading and unloading equipment. Approximately, it is 10-15 mln tonnes of grain additionally. In August, we are planning to launch the distribution procedure”, – T. Vysotsky told.

According to him, it will be enough to store this year’s crop taking into account the current export pace. Sacks can be used to store grain for 12-17 months.
