Prices of corn stabilized in Danube ports – APK-Inform

According to APK-Inform, last week, the purchasing prices of corn remained mainly stable in Ukrainian ports of Reni and Izmail.

The prices remained pressured by surplus of offers on the domestic market, coming harvesting of new-crop corn and limited export opportunities. Sharp decline of water level in the Danube due to hot and dry weather additionally complicated shipment of Ukrainian corn. At the same time, progress of “grain deal” and hopes for unblocking of some Ukrainian seaports offset the bearish factors and prevented further development of downward price trend.

The bid price in the Danube ports mainly stayed at 160-190 USD/t CPT-port, sometimes they were announced at 140 USD/t CPT-port.
