Within the bounds of the annual study "Ukraine: sowing campaign – 2009. Forecast of harvests of main agricultural crops in Ukraine in 2009" the current data witness that nearly 40% of agricultural enterprises decreased volumes of mineral and organic fertilizer application for winter crops sowing works.
According to agricultural enterprises, the decrease of fertilizers application was caused by the lack of financial resources for purchasing of the fertilizers. At the same time, the most of enterprises, which stocked the necessary volumes of fertilizers, did not change volumes of application.
