APK-Inform Agency has completed the polling of middle-sized and large agricultural enterprises of Ukraine within the bounds of the multi-client study “Ukraine: sowing campaign-2010. Forecast of harvests of main agricultural crops in Ukrainein 2010”, provided by our agency. On the basis of the first stage, the agency will provide the first forecast of winter grains and rapeseed sowing areas.
The preliminary results of the polling show that the sowing campaign of winter crops faces several difficulties, and will cause the change of the structure of the sowing areas of main winter crops (rapeseed, wheat, barley):
“According to the current data of the polling of the annual study "Ukraine: sowing campaign-2010", several agricultural producers of Ukraine will deny from sowing of winter crops. The lack of financial resources for realization oft eh sowing campaign due to the limited access to bank credits, and low prices for grains became the main reasons of such situation”, declared Anna Burka, the senior analyst of the study.
The results of the first stage of the study will be presented on November 2, 2009.
The polling was based on the sampling with the precision fixed at the level of 95%, at the same time, the confidence interval totaled 5%. The polling of the mentioned segment was provided with usage of the special soft-ware SurveyAPK (adapted analogue of CATI) of the agency.
