S&P decreased the Russian GDP forecast to 0.6%

According to the international rating agency Standard & Poor’s in 2014, in Russia the GDP growth will total 0.3%, in 2015 - 0.6%, declared the S&P Senior Director Christian Esters on November 25.

According to the announcement, Russia can reach the forecast growth if the average price of oil Brent remains at the level of 90 USD per barrel and Russia not to face the additional sanctions. Besides, C. Esters added that it is possible to increase Russian GDP owing the import substitution.

Note, the agency previous forecast on GDP for 2014 was at the level of 0.3% (published in the beginning of October), meanwhile the forecast for 2015 was at the level of 1.1%.
