The international rating agency Standard & Poor's downgraded the corporate credit rating of JSC Russian Railways from BBB- to the speculative level of BB+ with a negative forecast, declared the agency on February 4.

Also, the agency revised the ratings of a number of public and private Russian companies.

At the same time, the rating of Uralkali OJSC was kept at BBB- with a negative forecast. The above mentioned revision was realized following the significant decrease of the national credit rating of the Russian Federation in foreign currency in late January 2015 to BB+ with a negative forecast, due to some reduction of flexibility of monetary policy of the country, and worsening of the growth prospects of the economy.
