In 2015 the holding UkrLandFarming will reduce the areas of cultivated lands by 100-110 thsd ha, declared Ihor Petrashko, Deputy CEO of the company, on March 11.

For example, in 2014 UkrLandFarming did not process 42-43 thsd ha of agricultural land areas (fallow lands), but in the current year the index will reach 100-110 thsd ha, said I.Petrashko, adding that the reporting index includes Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts, and the Crimea. According to him, the increased business risks associated with working in the reporting regions, made the company to reconsider its policy.

Maize and wheat are the major crops in the structure of agricultural crops planted areas of UkrLandFarming. According to I.Petrashko, in 2014 the company planted maize throughout 41% of the planted areas, but in the current year it will occupy 35-36% of the areas. The share of wheat areas will grow from 13% to 18-20%.

Internal resources of the company will become the main source of funding for the holding, according to the Deputy CEO. External financing is completely absent, including by Ukrainian banks. UkrLandFarming negotiates with banks to confirm the limits, extend credit lines, reduce the interest rates, and change the foreign currency loans to UAH loans, said I.Petrashko. The agricultural holding uses pre-export financing from commercial partners as the non-banking financing sources.

In the current year the land bank of UkrLandFarming reached 670 thsd ha.
