Ukraine: Mykolayiv port to build seven berths and terminals for grains

Ukrpischesbytsyryo Terminal, LTD (UPSS Terminal, Mykolayiv) intends to build seven new berths and terminals for grains, major cargoes, food bulk, ro-ro and container complexes in the Bug estuary, said the CEO Dmitry Falco.

According to D.Falco, the total berth length will be 2400 m. The first stage of the mooring lines and terminals construction to be realized within two years since the date of work commencement. The company is proceeding to the construction in July 2015.

The CEO said that UPSS Terminal processes nearly 1.5 mln tonnes of cargoes annually. Besides, the first stage construction cost will reach nearly 1 bln UAH (as of prices of 2008).

Remind, in February 2015 Mykolaiv State Region Administration transferred nearly 157 ha of land for rent for UPSS Terminal for the period of 49 years for the transshipment capacities building.
