Russia: Louis Dreyfus to build a terminal for grain shipment in Rostov oblast

The company Louis Dreyfus Commodities East L.L.C. plans to build a terminal for grain shipment in Rostov oblast by the end of 2015. Vasily Golubev, Acting Governor of Rostov oblast, and Nicolas Maguin, General Manager of the company Louis Dreyfus Commodities East, signed the corresponding agreement on June 19 in St. Petersburg.

The terminal will be built in Kagalnitskoе village of Azov raion. The designed investments in the project total 1.5 bln RUR. The volume of grain transshipment in the first stage will total nearly 0.5 mln tonnes per year. Then, the terminal will be expanded to process nearly 0.8-1.2 mln tonnes of grains, according to the announcement.

Also, it is noted that the parties provided all necessary preparatory work for the construction: they resolved all issues for connecting the enterprise to the engineering and transport infrastructure, received the permission of various organizations, including FAS Russia, agreed to build a motor road to the grain terminal at the expense of the investor, etc.
