On July 16, the company Allseeds Black Sea launched its new oil-extraction plant in the Yuzhny port (Odessa oblast). Oleksiy Pavlenko, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and Mikheil Saakashvili, Governor of Odessa oblast, took part in the opening ceremony.
According to O.Pavlenko, investment in the facility totaled nearly 200 mln USD. The companies based in the Netherlands and Switzerland invested these funds.
The plant is capable of processing 2`400 tonnes of sunflower seed per day (800 thsd tonnes per year), or 1`500 tonnes of soybeans, or 1`500 tonnes of rapeseed.
The capacity of the elevator for simultaneous storage of oilseeds totals 46 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed.
As a reminder, Allseeds Black Sea began construction of the enterprise in the beginning of 2014.
