The Government of Ukraine is committed to fully supporting and protecting the interests of investors, and ready to comprehensively promote the further realization of the infrastructural and logistical projects in the country, because it will allow to the country to become a significant part of the global economy and continental transport corridors, announced the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with the leadership of the global logistics giants Hutchison Ports and the Qatar Airways airline on August 29.
According to the announcement, Hutchison Ports is one of the leading global port networks, it manages 48 major ports in 25 countries, and has a great interest in developing of container business in the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk. Negotiations on realization of joint logistics projects were held at various venues, including during the investment conference in London in July 2017.
Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world for 2016.
"We are interested in providing comprehensive support for the implementation of transport infrastructure development projects in Ukraine. I want to express my gratitude for the practical interest in cooperation. Ukraine is a very good choice," - stressed the Prime Minister.
Also, he noted that Ukraine has ample logistical opportunities, but they require attention and development.
That is why, specific projects aimed at improving the quality and safety of the domestic infrastructure and port development are priorities for the Government. In this context, expanding capacities, for example, container transportation, first of all, in the port of Chornomorsk, will become an additional incentive for development both for Ukrainian and foreign companies, and in addition, will allow to create new jobs and attract direct investments and new logistics technologies, the Prime Minister added.
