Foreign investors to provide 300 mln USD in construction of oil extraction plants in Odessa oblast

Companies-investors from Singapore and the USA plan to build two oil extraction plants, a grain terminal and transshipment facilities in Lyman raion of Odessa oblast, and plan to invest nearly 300 mln USD in the reporting projects. The Chairman of Odessa regional state administration, Maksym Stepanov, the Director of Singapore company Delta Wilmar CIS, Andrei Romantsov, and the Director of US company Grain Agro Invest, Sergei Tormosa signed the relevant trilateral memorandum on October 10.

According to the agreement between the authorities and investors, in 2017 there will be two investment projects at 150 mln USD each.

In particular, the Singapore company Delta Wilmar will build a new plant with the general annual capacities at over 600 thsd tonnes, as well as a terminal for oil and meal with the annual transshipment capacities at 3 mln tonnes.

The company with US investments Grain Agro Invest will build a grain storage and transshipment complex, as well as a new oil extraction plant. The annual capacities of a new berth will reach 3 mln tonnes.
