As of May 28, Kazakhstan planted spring spiked grains throughout the areas of 10.89 mln ha, or 76.5% of the planned figures (14.24 mln ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, agrarians of Kostanay oblast already planted grains throughout the largest areas — 3.21 mln ha (80.4% of the plan), as well as Akmola oblast — 2.93 mln ha (68%), and North Kazakhstan oblast — 1.98 mln ha (71.7%).
In addition, Kazakhstan continued planting corn for grain. As of the reporting date, the planted areas reached 140.7 thsd ha, or 92.8% of the plan, as well as rice — 96.3 thsd ha, or 94.9%.
As for oilseeds, agrarians planted the crops throughout 2.39 mln ha, or 88% of the plan.
