Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was officially declared the newly elected President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reported the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Imashev on June 10.

According to the official results of the early presidential elections held on June 9, K.-J.Tokayev received 70.96% of the popular vote. The inauguration ceremony of the new Head of State is scheduled for June 12.

As a reminder, K.-J.Tokayev took office as the interim President of Kazakhstan on March 20, 2019, succeeding Nursultan Nazarbayev, who resigned on March 19.
