Ukrainian seaports increased export of oilseeds and by-products in June

According to the monitoring of APK-Inform, in the period of June 1-30, 2020, the export volumes of oilseeds and by-products from the Ukrainian sea ports reached 859 thsd tonnes, an increase of 4% compared with the previous month volumes (826 thsd tonnes, taking into account the updated figures).

The shipment volumes of sunflower by-products formed the major share in the structure of supplies, and totaled 840 thsd tonnes, including 528 thsd tonnes of sunflower oil (+6.2%) and 313 thsd tonens of sunflower meal (+8.7%).

Export of soybean reached 16 thsd tonnes (-45%), rapeseed – 3 thsd tonnes (no export in May).

China (192.1 thsd tonnes), India (139.4 thsd tonnes) and the Netherlands (59 thsd tonnes) were the main destination for Ukrainian oilseeds and by-products.

In 2019/20 MY, the Mykolaiv Sea Commercial Port (5.24 mln tonnes) still remained the leader in the exports of major grain crops. The Chornomorsk Commercial Sea Port (2.17 mln tonnes) and Sea Commercial Port of Pivdennyj (2.04 mln tonnes) took the second and third positions, respectively.
