According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in January-May 2020, the country increased the production of crude sunflower oil by 8% compared to the same period of the last year to 270.9 thsd tonnes, refined oil – by 23.1% to 411.2 thsd tonnes.
Moreover, Ukraine increased the production of sunflower meal by 4.2% to 2.49 mln tonnes.
At the same time, the output of soybean products declined in the reporting period. Particularly, the production of soybean oil decreased to 122.4 thsd tonnes (down 13.7%), soybean meal – to 503.2 thsd tonnes (down 14.6%).
The association Ukroliyaprom pointed out that the lack of soybean caused the decline of products output.
