APK-Inform Agency announces the agro-logistics forum "Dnieper-Danube-Black Sea" (part I, Ukraine), which takes place in Mykolaiv on August 22-23, 2018.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, Swiss Confederation, Nibulon Ltd. and Ukrainian Grain Association are the Partners of the event.

The Association "For development of the Dnieper river as the main traffic artery of Ukraine", the inter-fractional deputy association "For development of the Ukrainian rivers", the Association of Shipbuilders of Ukraine (Ukrsudprom), and the Association of Ukrainian Cities provide support to the Forum.

From year to year, positions of the Black Sea region on the global grain market continue strengthening. According to the forecasts for a new season, only Ukraine and Russia will generally provide nearly 20% of the global corn trade, 28% of wheat trade, and 33% of barley trade.

Taking into account the undeveloped potential in grain production and the active growth of export rates in the region, it still remains quite attractive for investments in infrastructural projects. Only in the coming months, Ukraine will put into operation new port grain terminals with the general transshipment capacities of nearly 14 mln tonnes per year. In addition, development of the river transportation is the promising direction, including such rivers as the Dnieper and Danube.

The reporting factors contributed to the choice of the organizers of the Black Sea grain market as one of the major topics of the Forum.

Within frames of the issue, the Forum will focus on discussion of the current condition and prospects of development of the grain market in the Black Sea region, as well as its growing influence on functioning of the global grain market.

Also, development of the transport infrastructure of the Dnieper river within the European waterway E-40 (transport corridor from the Baltic ports to the Black Sea ports) is the other important topic of the event. The Forum will analyse in detail the advantages of the project and prospects, which it provides for organization of the efficient cargo logistics and urban development.

Also, the Forum participants will have a unique opportunity to visit one of the leading shipbuilding yards of Ukraine — Nibulon shipbuilding and repair yard — and several other objects of the agrarian infrastructure of Mykolaiv oblast.

Forum target audience: grain and oilseed producers and processors, international trading companies, surveyors, ports, freight owners, charterers, brokers, inspection and logistics companies, banks, state-owned companies, engineering companies, industry associations, representatives of public organizations and international institutions, authorities of the Ukrainian cities, etc.
