In the shortest possible time, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure of Moldova will provide a program for development of transport in all market segments, and will also take the required steps to liberalize all procedures for the issuance of permits for goods shipment, and their transit through the territory of other countries, declared the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova, Octavian Calmîc on August 18.
According to him, due to ineffective management in recent years, the market segment faced a lot of problems which have its impact on the industry as a whole, and the image of Moldova at the international level.
Preliminary analysis highlighted a redundantly bureaucratic system in the relationship between transport operators and the authorities issuing the necessary documents for provision of services of goods transportation. The Government will liberalize all procedures for issuing of permits for goods transportation, their transit through the territory of other countries, as well as issuance of other documents for the effective performance of economic agents in the reporting sphere, said O.Calmîc.
Also, he invited representatives of logistics companies to make a detailed analysis of the situation in cargo shipping and present their proposals for solution of the problems slowing down the industry development. Moreover, the Minister plans to provide more effective dialogue with partners from other countries, and appealed to make estimations of the necessary number of permits for goods transportation through the territories of Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and other countries, which to be discussed in various commissions with representatives of the reporting countries.
