Moldova: the Giurgiulești port kept grain export rates at the stable level




In the first half of 2017, the exports of grain crops from the Giurgiulești International Free Port (GIFP) totaled 150.9 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 1.2% compared with the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova on September 20.

Also, as of July 1 the port stocked 5.8 thsd tonnes of grains to be shipped.

In addition, in the reporting period the port exported 26.7 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils, up 3 times compared with January-June of 2016.

Generally, in the first half of 2017 the port Giurgiulești shipped 359 thsd tonnes of cargoes, up 4.6% compared with the same period in 2016. At the same time, in January-June the port processed 134 sea vessels of various types.
