Fawakeh, one of the largest grain companies of Iran, will participate in the conference "AgroResurcy - 2012: ways of increase of agroindustrial profitability". The purpose of the company participation in the conference - meeting with the major companies-producers of maize and barley and presentation of the company to Ukrainian agrarians.

The company Fawakeh was founded in 1987, and has branches in various countries: the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and has representative offices in Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. Every year, the company imports nearly 300 thsd tonnes of grains to Iran. In 2011, the imports increased to 600 thsd tonnes. In 2012, Fawakeh plans to increase grain supplies to Iran to 1 mln tonnes.

The next stage in development of the company Fawakeh - promotion on the markets of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey and other countries. Thus, the company purchased the grain terminal in the commercial port Olya (Russia, 100 km south of the city of Astrakhan, on 67 km of the Volga-Caspian Canal), which can store up to 50 thsd tonnes of grains, and has shipment capacity of 350 tonnes per hour. Since Iran is playing a big role in business in the Middle East, the company Fawakeh plans to realize trading from the CIS countries, including Ukraine, to the Middle East with aid of the port of Olya.
