According to the analysis of the company Nibulon, which was held on the results of cultivation of agricultural crops, sunflower is the most profitable crop among oilseeds, and maize – the most profitable among grains, stated Ekaterina Kovalskaya, Chief of the trade department of Nibulon Ltd., at the conference "AgroResurcy - 2012" in Kiev on February 9.
The company considers spring barley and feed wheat as the least profitable crops for cultivation.
While speaking on wheat, E.Kovalskaya noted that the profitability of feed wheat and milling wheat significantly differs. She believes that it is much more profitable to sow milling wheat, since at the expense of quality the company can get bonuses for the price.
The expert noted that soybean, rapeseed and maize have the large potential of profitability in the terms of rather good harvest. At the same time, sunflower, maize and rapeseed stay profitable even at the lowest harvest volumes.
E.Kovalskaya noted that for the company plans to increase profitability of crop production by increasing yields, but not by increasing prices.
