Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko submitted his resignation on March 23. APK-Inform learned about this from its own sources, citing directly the head of the Ministry.
On the afternoon of March 24, the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk informed via Telegram that R. Leshchenko's resignation letter had been submitted to parliament.
It is possible that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may consider R. Leshchenko's application already at a meeting on March 24.
According to the current legislation, if the parliament accepts the resignation, the duties of the head of the ministry will be temporarily performed by the First Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky.
R. Leshchenko has been heading the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine since December 17, 2020.
