Danish logistic company Maersk announced a total cessation of operations in Russia and selling of its assets in the country, the company told in a letter to its clients. Three weeks ago, Maersk restricted its activity in Russia.

They told in the letter that they would terminate their operations in Russia and sell their Russian assets. For those clients, whose cargoes are delivering right now “we will do our best to execute our obligations and deliver these cargoes”, the company said.

As a reminder, on March 1, Maersk announced that it had suspended cooperation with all Russian ports for delivery on non-essential cargoes.

Maersk owns 31% of Russian port operator Global Ports that operates six terminals in Russia and two in Finland.
