As of October 6, Ukrainian farmers harvested grains and pulses throughout 6.9 mln ha or 62% of the plan. Production volume reached 26.4 mln tonnes with an average yield of 3.84 t/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy informed.
Particularly, they harvested:
- 4.7 mln ha of wheat (100% of plan), crop reached 19.2 mln tonnes so far with yield of 4.1 t/ha;
- 1.6 mln ha of barley (100%; 5.5 mln tonnes, 3.48 t/ha);
- 110 thsd ha of peas (98%; 251 thsd tonnes, 2.28 t/ha);
- 96 thsd ha of corn for grain (2.3%; 400 thsd tonnes, 4.17 t/ha);
- 58 thsd ha of buckwheat (49%; 85 thsd tonnes, 1.48 t/ha);
- 34 thsd ha of millet (76%; 77 thsd tonnes, 2.26 t/ha).
Moreover, farmers harvested 1.3 mln ha of sunflower seed area (28%). Production volume reached 2.6 mln tonnes with the average yield of 2 t/ha. Agrarians reaped 211 thsd ha of soybean. Production volume reached 505 thsd tonnes of with the yield of 2.39 t/ha.
Farmers harvested 1.6 mln tonnes of sugar beet with the yield of 47.1 t/ha reaped from 33.4 thsd ha (19%).
