Egypt increased the imports of Ukrainian soybeans

According to APK-Inform, Ukraine shipped 430 thsd tonnes of soybean to Egypt in September-December of 2019/20 MY that is the record volume for the given period.

Ukraine did not export soybean to Egypt in September-December of 2018/19 MY while the total export reached about 280 thsd tonnes last season.  

Due to higher import, Egypt moved to the second place in the list of importers of Ukrainian soybean this season, with the share of 24% in the total volume of shipped Ukrainian oilseed.

Moreover, USDA forecast Egypt to increase import of soybean by 10% to record 3.7 mln tonnes in 2019/20 MY compared to 3.35 mln tonnes year ago.
