According to APK-Inform Agency the export of refined sunflower oil from Russia to China for the 5 months of 2017/18 MY is 14% higher year-on-year. Thus during September-January of the current MY China bought approximately 6.4 thsd tonnes of the Russian refined oil. Herewith, during the reported period the total product export volume from Russia increased by 16 thsd tonnes to 157.3 thsd tonnes due to the active demand rate on the global market.
The leading importing countries of Russian sunflower oil are Uzbekistan (60 thsd tonnes), Tajikistan (16.6 thsd tonnes), Afghanistan (15.6 thsd tonnes) and Georgia (13.2 thsd tonnes).
