Russia supplies the major volumes of grains (47.5% of the general exports) on foreign markets through the deep-sea ports of the Black Sea basin - Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and Taman, declared the grain market expert, Andrei Druzyaka during his report at the second conference "Grain exports from Ukraine" on November 2, in Kyiv.

According to him, the minor ports of the Azov and Black Seas provide 31.5% of the export volumes. In addition, the port Kavkaz supplies 8.5% of grain cargoes on foreign markets, the Baltic Sea ports (including Kaliningrad) - 5%, Azerbaijan - 4%, and the Caspian Sea ports - 3.5%.

At the same time, A.Druzyaka noted that mainly the minor ports realized grain supplies to Turkey - 85%, while the deep-sea ports - 13%, the ports of the Caspian Sea and the Volga river - less than 1%. Whereas, the ports of the Caspian Sea and the Volga river realized Russian grain supplies to Iran at 54%, while the minor ports - 33%, the deep-sea ports - 12%, and the railway lines through Azerbaijan (railway station Samur) - less than 1%. At the same time, Russia exports 100% of grains to Azerbaijan by railroad.

The exports of grain crops always become a challenge for Russian agricultural producers. In particular, for the first time in the current season Russian traders faced a deficit of rail cars. Also, there is a deficit of terminals in the deep-sea ports, closing of transshipment operations in OPL, as well as linear elevators, added the expert.
