Syngenta, which is the largest company-producer of oilseed seeds in Ukraine, plans to increase its presence in the reporting market segment, reported the Head on development of business solutions for agricultural processing in the CIS countries at Syngenta, Sergei Tymoshenko at the conference "Fat-and-Oil Industry - 2017" on October 26, in Kyiv, Ukraine.
To date, almost every third bottle of Ukrainian sunflower oil is produced from oilseeds of the company Syngenta. But the company plans that at least every second bottle of the product should be produced from oilseeds of the company Syngenta, he said.
According to S.Tymoshenko, to date Syngenta proposes Ukrainian producers to purchase a high quality range of seeds with the level of pre-treatment of seeds at more than 50% in the segment of herbicide-tolerant sunflower, and over 60% in the segment of high-oleic sunflower.
Also, the company continues increasing intensification rates of the production, and works out to increase the share of high-yielding hybrids with high oil content, while using innovative technological solutions. At the same time, Syngenta pays high attention to improvement of the supplies, diversification of its production capacities, technical assistance of producers, and development of regional examination, the expert added.
