According to the market operators, in the reporting week the terminal RISOIL (Illichivsk Sea Commercial Port) shipped the vessel with sunflower oil cargo of 35 thsd tonnes to China. All volume was purchased by the government owned company China Sinopharm International Corporation. The representatives of this company to visit AOCS World Market Update in Kiev, Ukrainian House Conference and Expo Center, April 3-4.
As a reminder, in 2011/12 MY China increased imports of sunflower oil of the Black Sea region production in 5 times - to 122 thsd tonnes. In the current season the trend continues will continue developing. Thus, the USDA analysts expect for the further increasing of the indicator in 1.5 times to 180 thsd tonnes.
Experts call reducing of the difference in prices between soybean and sunflower oils, and the need to meet the demand for sunflower oil from certain groups of consumers in China, among the major reasons for the trend development.
