The eighteenth international conference "Fat-and-Oil Industry - 2019" will start in Kyiv, Ukraine, on October 30.
In the current year, the event is held under support of Limagrain. The history of Limagrain company dates back to 1965. The cooperative was called "Limagrain", as it was founded by farmers in the valley of the Limagne river, located in the central part of France. Then the seed producers decided to unite and invest in research to create productive corn hybrids and increase the value of their land areas. Thus, in 1970 Limagrain registered its first corn hybrid — LG 11, which propelled the company to become the leader in France, and then in Europe, in the sphere of major field crops. From this moment, Limagrain started its great sailing.
The well-developed structure of the cooperative includes the department specializing in seeds of the major field crops and represented under the international brand LG, which is the European leader on the market of wheat seeds and corn of silage direction, as well as acts as the major market player in sunflower breeding process. The fourth largest seed company worldwide, Limagrain is the international agricultural cooperative group founded and managed by French farmers. In terms of creating new varieties and hybrids, Limagrain actively sells field crop seeds and vegetable seeds, as well as grain ingredients, in more than 140 countries. The global network of the company branches covers 56 countries. Every year the company invests nearly 14% of its turnover in research activity.
