According to APK-Inform, the yield of sunflower seed will decline to 2.56 t/ha in Ukraine in 2020, down 5% compared to 2019 due to dry weather conditions.
Sunflower seed production will grow slightly compared to the last year level and reach 16.2 mln tonnes, up 1% on extension of planted area by 6% to 6.4 mln ha.
At the same time, the yield of sunflower seed will decrease by 4% to 1.78 t/ha and crop by 5% to 14.8 mln tonnes in Russia in 2020.
